Mañanas Creativas 2018

To inspire and strengthen Nicaragua's creative community, we developed "Mañanas Creativas" a series of local talks organized by Madre Consulting. In 2018, due to the social-political crisis in Nicaragua, we postponed Chispafest, the International Creativity Festival we organize. In order to keep the spark alive and going, we decided to adapt to a more local and intimate format. We organized and produced six different chapters in a variety of venues, from gardens and coffee shops to theaters and co-working spaces; and took the stage to two major cities in Nicaragua: Managua, and Granada. Local creative leaders from different disciplines shared lectures on creativity, resilience, innovation, entrepreneurship, design thinking, fashion, motion graphics, illustration, architecture, filmmaking, art, technology, and the list goes on.

INSPIRATION + COMMUNITY

Mañanas Creativas is a series of casual creativity-related talks. In 2018, due to a serious social-political crisis in Nicaragua, we postponed Chispafest, the International Creativity Festival we organize yearly since 2016. Mañanas Creativas was the way we adapted in order to keep the 'spark alive', to inspire and develop our community in the face of adversity.

We produced six chapters in a variety of venues, from gardens and coffee shops, to theaters and co-working spaces; and took the stage to two major cities in Nicaragua: Managua, and Granada. Local creative leaders from different disciplines shared lectures and advise on how creativity helps us create opportunities. The talks were aimed at creative minds in general, no matter the discipline nor the level of expertise. Every chapter had its own visual concept, developed in collaboration with one of the speakers; this allowed us to showcase their work and give each event personality.

The response was outstanding, and within hours of launching each date, the slots were filled. It's an honor to have inspired more than 700 people through our 2018 series. With initiatives like Chispafest and Mañanas Creativas, we aim to contribute to the development of Nicaragua's creative community.

BRANDING.

Mañanas Creativas' visual brand identity is an adaptation of its big sister, Chispafest. Being morning events, we introduced a new vibrant color palette, consisting of coral pink and buttery yellow, colors associated with hope and energy. Every chapter had its own visual concept, developed in collaboration with one of the speakers; this allowed us to showcase their work and give each event personality.
